On a commission from Arseniy Yatseniuk, the Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, the Committee scrutinized the Draft Resolutions on creation of the Temporary Inquiry Panel to investigate the facts of violation of the Constitution and the Laws of Ukraine, adoption of illegal resolutions by L. Chernovetsky, Kyiv mayor, and officials of Kyiv local self-government and executive bodies (a substitute for the earlier submitted Resolution, Reg. No. 1137); and on creation of the Temporary Inquiry Panel to examine activity of Kyiv City Council and Kyiv City Council executive body (Kyiv City State Administration), a substitute for the earlier submitted resolution (Reg. No. 1137-1).
The Committee members stated that the Temporary Inquiry Panels are to investigate the facts of violation of the Constitution and the Laws of Ukraine, adoption of illegal resolutions by L. Chernovetsky, Kyiv mayor, and officials of Kyiv local self-government and executive bodies.
Having listened to the relevant report of Mykola Traiduk, the Chairman of the Sub-Committee on Local Self-Government, the Committee decided to uphold the said Draft Resolutions and recommend that Olha Bodnar, the Committee Vice-Chairman, be included into the Temporary Inquiry Panel.
